Dr. Aurora Torres at Bernalillo Pet Care Center
Dr. Aurora Torres

Dr. Torres was born and raised here in the Land of Enchantment. She attended undergrad at the University of Dallas as well as New Mexico State University.  She then attended Colorado State University where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. After earning her degree, she chose to advance her skill-set by completing a competitive rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA Veterinary Care Animal Hospital and Referral Center here in NM. She became a vet because she loves animals and practicing veterinary medicine enables her to serve both the animal and you the owner.  She says it's a great feeling.

In her free time, she likes going on hikes, runs, and bike rides, as well as spending time with her family including her nephews and nieces.  She and her very active dog named Pecos are enjoying life together by hiking NM trails and then lounging around on the couch for some TV.  She very much looks forward to meeting you and your pets and enhancing the special bond we humans share with our animals.
